Over the last few months the Back Country Horsemen of BC Central Vancouver Island Chapter has been reapplying and marking trail signs that have faded or been damaged in the Spruston Rec site that links to the Trans Canada Trail. The area is utilized by many user groups as equestrians, walkers, mountain bikers etc. In celebration of BC Trails Day, there will be a Back Country Campout at the Spruston staging site inviting riders to explore the trails. We will be having a club meeting, pot luck and awards draw for all the participants that participated in the hanging and reapplying of the trail signs. The Coast Salish First nations have been invited to share our food and event as it is their land that we play on and enjoy. The event is open to all Back Country Horsemen Chapters.
