Our local One Spot North trail is part of a legacy trail from Courtenay to the Oyster River. The section of the trail in our rural area dead-ends only 1 km from Hamm Road. Macaulay Road and Area Neighbourhood Association is lobbying to complete the trail and an organized walk/hike/ride from Macaulay Heights Park to where the trail dead-ends brings attention to the need to complete this trail for public access. The walk/hike/ride event distance is approximately 4 km to the dead-end and then return, a total walk/hike/ride of approximately 8km.
